Had a bit of fun with our old white fans. ..and made some doozy mistakes. The poppy looked great (sorry no pic’s) but we soon realised it was peeling and chipping. I had not primed before spray painting. Won’t be making that mistake again.
So redid the poppy fan, which looks okay, but it’s not as good as the first paint job and scraping the paint off to redo it, left some groove marks in the plastic. Live and learn…plus we have other unpainted fans, standing too still. If it stands still too long, it’ll end up painted!
The removed the fan covers/grills, (We don’t have children, so it’s safe) were used to make a 3 tier storage caddy for our gardening bits and bobs. I’d spray painted three blocks of wood and the covers. They are screwed together. Easy and useful.
